With all that is going on in the world today—from COVID-19 to widespread unrest in many different arenas—maybe you could use some good news to think about.
If you are a believer in Christ, you are already and forever His flawless bride, in whom He delights and celebrates continually; united with His Spirit; completely forgiven for the sins of your lifetime; pure, righteous, and holy in Him; and safe and secure in Him.
You’re not alone in navigating the troubled waters of this world; Christ’s Spirit in you is your continual source for living.
You were never invited to live under the old covenant, trying to attain a works-based righteousness.
You were only invited to the new covenant where your eternal righteousness is based on faith in Him alone.
And, if you’ve read my recent blog posts about managing your thought life, you already know that the ungodly thoughts you hear in your mind aren’t coming from your new heart.
They are coming from outside of you, and you do not have to own them.
When I first learned how the enemy works in my thought life, it was so much easier to believe that I was a flawless, new creation in Christ.
Freedom!
As believers in Christ, we exist in two realms at the same time.
We are seated with Christ in Heaven, while, at the same time, walking, living, and breathing the air of a fallen earth.
But what incredible hope we have!
I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around it, but throughout eternity, we will live in a world where there is no suffering or death, and we will see our resurrected Lord face to face—along with loved ones who are also united with Him by grace through faith.
Why don’t you grab a cup of your favorite beverage, relax, and take in the following beautiful words from your Beloved concerning your Happily Forever After:
“My dearest darling, your Happily Forever After is a sure thing because of My finished work on the cross and your belief into Me.”
“You are Mine and I am yours for all eternity.”
“While it is true that you will not experience unending bliss while you live on this earth, you are guaranteed eternal happiness on a new earth because of your spiritual union with Me.”
“Righteousness, peace, and joy will be the very air that you breathe in your glorified body as you walk hand in hand with Me in this never-ending wonderland.”
“You may be thinking, this sounds too good to be true, but I promised new heavens and a new earth to all who believe into Me.”
“And I keep all of My promises!”
“Even though your eyes have never seen and your ears have never heard and your heart has never fully contemplated what I have prepared for you beyond this life, I want you to spend time imagining it!”
“Ask Me to inspire your imagination when you think about eternity.”
“The most majestic places on this earth, the most mesmerizing music, the most tantalizing aromas, the most delectable food, and the most sublime textures that you could experience on this earth pale by far in comparison to the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures that you and I will enjoy together in eternity!”
“And the best part of all?”
“The most divine, sweet, and loving fellowship with Me and all the saints throughout the ages.”
“So, tell everyone you know about the incredible hope you have in Me and invite them to their own Happily Forever After!”
