Tranquility.
Just reading or saying the word “tranquility” can evoke feelings of calm restfulness and quiet peacefulness.
You might even find yourself taking a deep breath and slowly exhaling as you ponder this beautiful word.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the level of tranquility you experience on a daily basis?
If you’ve been more focused on the nightly news than the Good News—the gospel of grace in Christ Jesus—then you just might be a prime candidate to savor the following words from your Beloved at this moment in time:
“Love of My life, My very Breath is the source of My written Word, the Holy Bible.”
“I moved the pen of its every writer in order to reveal absolute truth—unchanging reality.”
“My Word communicates how humanity can be reconciled to Me.”
“It also teaches those who belong to Me how to walk in loving, trusting dependence on My 24/7/365 indwelling Spirit.”
“Nestled in the heart of My Word is My love song to you that I breathed into King Solomon about a thousand years before I became flesh and lived on this earth.”
“The Song of Solomon is filled to the brim with poetic imagery, mirroring your eternal spiritual union with Me.”
“You are My heart’s desire!”
“The name Solomon is rich in meaning.”
“It encompasses the calm serenity that accompanies covenant relationship with Me.”
“The Jewish greeting, ‘Shalom,’ is found in this word.”
“Shalom expresses well-wishes of peace, wholeness, and contentment to its recipient.”
“Shortly after My resurrection, I greeted My disciples three times with the phrase ‘Peace be with you.'”
“This phrase communicates the eternal, tranquil assurance every believer in Me can enjoy, regardless of their outward circumstances.”
“This gift of tranquility is all-encompassing and has been completely paid for in advance through My finished work on the cross.”
“Your belief in Me and acceptance of My life was all that was necessary for Me to complete you and give you peace with Me forevermore.”
“The covenant you and I share is a sacred covenant of marriage.”
“I am your Spiritual Bridegroom and you are My flawless bride.”
“This means that you are forever and completely at peace with Me because you are no longer separated from Me.”
“Right here, right now, you are joined in eternal spiritual union with Me.”
“You are altogether beautiful and possess all you will ever need for life and godliness.”
“I am yours forever, and I will always be faithful to you, no matter what!”
(The above words from your Beloved and Scripture List is an excerpt from my newest book, Fifty Days in His Pursuing Love Devotional. And this devotional is a spinoff of my Song of Solomon study over chapters 1 and 2: His Banner over Me Is Pursuing Love.)
If you are a Christian, you have been made right with God through faith and have peace with Him forevermore (Rom. 5:1).
And the Prince of Peace Himself lives in you 24/7/365 (Isa. 9:6).
He wants you to experience His peace, the same peace He enjoyed while He walked this earth in complete dependence on His Father:
“Peace I leave with you; My own peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled. ” (John 14:27 AMPC)
Jesus would not have said these things to us if it were not possible—in dependence on His indwelling Spirit.
Decide today, and every day, that you are going to enjoy His precious gift of tranquility.
The price He paid for this incredible gift was His very Life.
Let’s honor Him today by savoring it.

Please take some time to meditate on the Scriptures in today’s post in order to get your mind renewed with truth.
You will love the transformation that takes place in your life when you are walking in truth (Romans 12:2; Galatians 5:16; 3 John 1:4)!
